“My Supports”
My support system consists of my son, the volunteer grandmother from the county, and finally my administrative assistant.
I am going to start with my son; he opens the doors to the center at 5:30 am every morning. He heats or cools the building, depending on the weather, makes my families comfortable, greets my early morning children, and answers early morning calls. My son also arrives extra early  to shovel snow and spread salt to ensure the safe entry onto property and into the building.  The very start of the day depends on him.
My volunteer grandmother is employed by the county, and she is not obligated to do too much because of her age.  This lady comes in every morning to assist with the breakfast, makes sure the fresh flowers are arranged every Tuesday soon after delivery.  She helps out in the classroom: hugging, loving and pampering the children. She is a jewel. My office assistant is my right hand, arm, and lung.  Her daily question to me is “what do you need me to do”.  She is invaluable to me. One of my challenges is that  I am an asthmatic, and when I have a severe attack, the program runs without a hitch as she is fantastic. She take the reins and runs the operation without a hitch.  What does she do, you ask?  Whatever duties I perform, that is what she does, plus her own duties.  She is a fanatical friend and associate.  She even checks the county receipts on the computer on the weekend to ensure we submit our attendance on time.
My support system is awesome; the benefits are too numerous to elaborate on.  This support system affords me the ability to give my families quality care and attention.  These amenities would not be available to my families without their dedication.   If I did not have their support, I would have to close my business down because I would not be able to supply the quality care that this center is known for.
